On the date of delivery shown on the “Delivery slip”, applicants may collect the documents from the High Commission in person between 2.00 - 5.00 pm on working days.
For passports, it is advisable to wait for High Commission’s call. Since passport applications are processed and printed in Dhaka and thereafter DIP forwards those to the High Commission by courier, the “Tentative Collection Date” shown on the “Delivery slip” is indicative only.
If applicants decide to collect the documents by mail, self-addressed pre-paid registered return envelope (requiring signature on delivery) is required to be attached while submitting other documents or pre-paid return courier has to be arranged.
Applicants in Australia are advised to use registered post and to keep tracking number of the post. Similarly, express post with signature on delivery could help avoid confusion and difficulties; express post with online tracking facility could also be useful.
Applicants in New Zealand and Fiji should send documents by reliable international courier with return consignment / airway bill to avoid delay in despatch. Please note that Australia Post does not carry documents sent by New Zealand Post.
